WOLVES SNAP UP VAN DAMME

Wolves have made their first summer signing with the capture of Belgium full-back Jelle Van Damme from Anderlecht.

Van Damme moves to Molineux on a three-year deal with an option for a further 12 months after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the 26-year-old. Manager Mick McCarthy was pleased to have snared Van Damme, who has experience of life in England having played for Southampton in the 2004/05 campaign.

"Jelle is a player we've been watching for a long time and I'm delighted we've managed to sign him," said McCarthy.

Wolves Seal New Deal

WOLVES have announced a new two-season deal with sponsors Sportingbet.com.

With one year remaining on the current agreement, the online bookie have agreed to extend their association with the club until the end of the 2012/13 season.

Details of the deal have not been made public but the club did confirm it was a seven-figure contract.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said: "This is a major off-the-pitch achievement for Wolves.
